LYNX AND PANTHER—Are lynx and panther plentiful in Ontario and what size of trap is best for the panther? Do I need a license to trap in Ontario?

Lynx are plentiful in some parts of Ontario. By “panther” I presume you mean the cougar or “mountain lion” of the West. There are none of these animals in Ontario. The best trap for the cougar, in my opinion, is the No. 4 New- house. The Province of Ontario has recently passed new game laws and it is necessary for a non-resident trap per to take out a license costing $20 for the season. In all probability the new game laws will be enforced more than the old ones were.
