One thing I've found when your out chasing boar if you patient enough just wait for it to come to you not vice versa. I've lost a few dogs because the pigs know were coming and know what to expect, so now I've trained my dogs to be extremely quite and pretty much just do nothing but watch.

I do let them occasionally chase the boar, but I find it a lot more exciting to lure them in and surround them. This is a technique I've come across the years pretty much ensures the boys and dogs safety. then all that hard work finally pays off but not always. Win some Lose some, that's life.
