Lead Bullet in 25-35-Can I use lead bullets in a .25-35 Winchester, or a .25-36 Marlin, as I like to reload for short range shooting? Which of these guns has the greatest range?

Yes, you can use lead bullets in both of these rifles; in short range loads, and can, by using the copper gas-checks, make bullets for the full charge loads. The Ideal Handbook, put out by the Marlin Firearms Co., will explain this. I don’t know which of these rifles has the greater range, but the .25-35 Winchester bullet has greater energy and a higher velocity than that of the Marlin .25-36. This is with the UMC ammunition.
