Large and Small Mouth Bass-Will you please give a brief description of the large mouth bass. How do they differ from the small mouth; are they as prolific and do they grow as large? Are they as good a food fish?

There is very little difference in appearance of the two fish. There is some little difference in the shape of the fins and considerable difference in the shape of the head and mouth. The big mouth has a longer lower jaw. It grows considerably larger than the small mouth and specimens have been caught weighing 8 pounds.
