KRAG IN WISCONSIN—Would a Krag rifle with thirty inch barrel be too long for use in northern Wisconsin, or would it pay better to buy a sporting rifle of shorter length?
You must use your own judgment about the Krag rifle. I favor light, short rifles, hut I don’t think it would pay you to buy a new one for this one trip. The Krags when remodeled to sporting style make excellent bunting rifles, and if the work is done by a competent person, the barrel may also be shortened, and the rifle will be much nicer to handle.
