Is the .22 high-power Savage powerful enough for deer and bear? | |
|
The .22 high power is a wonderful little weapon, but I would not care to go after deer and bear armed with it alone. Now you know these animals have at times been killed with most every firearm in existence, from a .22 short up to a 12-gauge shotgun; but regular use for, such work and chance shot under extraordinary conditions are two entirely different matters. For such game as coyotes, wolves and foxes, with an occasional chance for a shot at deer or bear, the .22 high power is an admirable little gun; but for regular work I would certainly prefer a rifle of similar power to the .33 Winchester or .35 Remington.
