I do not know enough about present conditions in northern Maine to answer this question. While there are probably some good places there, it is very likely that the best territory is already held by trappers. The game is moose, deer, black bears, grouse, rabbits and ducks. The furbearers are beaver, otter, mink, fox, marten, fisher, lynx and weasel. Would suggest that you get a copy of the game laws of Maine, which will tell you about the open season, license fees, etc.
