Horse Hair Lines-I have been a reader for some time but have not seen anything about horse hair fishing lines. Can the editor or some of the professionals tell us tenderfoots how to make them?

I made a horse hair lines with three quills. Take “green hair” from the tails of horses-not shed hair. Make a small plug for each quill; know six or nine strands, depending on the size of line desired. Then put the two or three strands of hair the quills and holding the three quills in the hand, twist each one around once and repeat all in the same direction. As the strands twists, the hairs draw through the quills past the plugs. As fast as a hair passes out, another hair is passed through the plug and twisted into the line. Make the line as long as you wish. You can braid the line instead of twisting it, or make a four-ply braid.
