Making a homemade moose call is relatively easy following these steps:

1. You will need to cut a 12-16 inch strip of Birch bark, ensuring that you do not cut into the living part of the tree.

2. Shape the bark as shown in the top of the image above.

3. Roll the bark into a cone shape and stitch the seem with heavy twine or leather boot laces.

To use the call you simply hold the call up to your mouth and with your lungs full of air, exhale while making a "Uuh-auw" sound. With practice you can consistently bring in rutting bulls.
