THE HI-POWER RIFLE
I subscribed for the F. N., the best hunting magazine I ever read, last November and have been reading you fellows' experiences in hunting and trapping and feel it my duty to write, although I have never tried before. I have an H. & R. .44 caliber shotgun, and it is a dandy little gun for small game. I have shot twenty-five grouse with it this season and only lost one; also rabbits and ducks. I have a Winchester single shot .22, Model 1902, which is a very good gun for squirrels. I think the .22 Hi-Power Savage is the best all-round gun, powerful enough for any game in Canada and the States. It's light, too, and is what a hunter wants when he is hiking around the hills all day. As this is my first attempt I will make this article rather short for the benefit of better writers. Come on, boys, and write your hunting and trapping experiences.
