HARD SHOOTERS—I would like to know if the barrel of the model 1892 Marlin rifle will screw out? Which gun will shoot the hardest—the .32 caliber or the .25-20?
The rifle is not a take down, but the barrel may be screwed out of the receiver. It would have to be done by a gunsmith. If you mean the .32 long or short cartridge, such as is used in the model ‘92, the .25-20 will shoot harder. It will also give more penetration than the .32-20, but as the latter is a larger caliber it is probably a better killer.
