Gun Stock Refinishing-To refinish a walnut gun stock, sandpaper off the old finish, then give a good coat of shellac. If a higher finish is desired it should be rubbed down with a pumice stone and raw linseed oil and then given a coat of good varnish. Shellac can be procured at any drug store or paint dealer. A half pint will finish several.
