Grouse Vs. Partridge-What is the difference between a grouse and a partridge?
There are no real partridge in the East or North. What is called “partridge” in the Northern States and Canada is the Grouse. The quail is called “partridge” in the East and South, and the grouse is called pheasant. Of course, there are a number of varieties of grouse but the rugged grouse is the most common and the one which causes so much confusion.
