Great Dane-Will a Great Dane dog be any good for skunks, rabbits and coons? I have one and when I take him out on the prairie he chases rabbits, but he doesn’t seem to have any system about it. He simply runs then down and picks them up, and if the rabbit gets into a hole he sits down, and of all the music you ever heard, he makes it. It resembles a bass viol out of tune. How can I train him?

I don’t believe the dog can ever be trained so that he will be any good. You failed to say how old he is, but even if he is young, the Great Dane is not a hunting dog and I don’t believe you could make one of him.
