Furbearers in Alaska – What game and furbearing animals are found on the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska? Are they very plentiful?
The game animals and birds consist of moose, caribou, white mountain sheep, rabbits, grouse and ptarmigan. The fur-bearers are the Alaska Brown Bear, the black bear, beaver, otter, fox, lynx, mink, marten and muskrat. I am not sure but that the wolf and the wolverine are also found. I could not say how plentiful any of these animals are, but in a territory as large as the Kenai Peninsula, there must be places where they are found in good numbers.
