FURBEARING ANIMALS IN NORTH CAROLINA | |
|
NORTH CAROLINA—What kinds of furbearing animals are found in North Carolina, and in what part of the state are they most numerous?
The furbearing animals of North Carolina are the mink, muskrat, opossum, coon, skunk, otter, wild cat, red fox, grey fox, and black bear. Foxes are only hunted for sport, and are never killed there.
I could not say where any of these animals are most plentiful.
