FROG HUNTING—What is a good frog hunting method?

When we hunt frogs here we usually go to a pond or someplace where cattails grow. Two of us go in a boat and one sits in the bow with a lantern while the other rows. When we hear a frog we row to the place and soon find him. The man with the lantern holds it about a foot in front of the frog and it is then easy to catch him. Frogs will not get scared easily and you need not be very careful in approaching them. When we catch one we strike him on the side of the boat and then cut the legs off.
