Fox-White Vs. Blue- Although I have spent several years in the Yukon I would like to know whether the white Artic or polar fox changes color in summer on his southern range, same as the ermine, snowshoe rabbit and ptarmigan.

The white fox and the blue fox are the same animal, anyway all naturalist say so. In the most northern portion of its range it is white year round; farther south it changes color, taking on the dark hue in summer. In the most southern districts it is never white.
