FOR LONG RANGE SHOOTING—I intend to buy a shotgun and would like to know which is the best gun for long range and if the killing range is less in the 28-inch barrel than in the 30-inch barrel.

Almost any of the standard makes of American shotguns will give satisfaction for long range shooting if they are full choke bore. The Ithaca is a good one, as is also the Stevens. If a repeater is desired the Winchester will fill the bill. There is practically no difference in the killing range of the 28 and 30- inch barrels.
