Fish Oil-How Made-How is fish oil made and how is it used as scent?
Fish oil is made by cutting fresh fish into small pieces and placing in a bottle to decay. Do not cork the bottle or the gas formed by the decomposing fish will cause it to burst. Stand the bottle somewhere in the sunshine and cover it with a deep tin lid. This will allow the gas to escape and at the same time prevent flies from blowing it. It will also keep the rain out. After it has stood two or three weeks, strain it through a course cloth and use the clear liquid. To use it, pour a small quantity in a piece of decayed wood.
