Fish Oil (making)-I am making some fish oil for scent and would like to have some information. Please give me the best method.

Trout, eels, or other small fish are best. Cut them into small pieces and place in a wide mouthed bottle. Tie a piece of cheese cloth over the top and lay a tin can lid on to keep the rain and the flies out. Set it in the sun for two or three weeks and by that time you will find the fish fully decomposed. This is the fish oil scent recommended by so many trappers. It is best if not too old.
