Fish Oil-Does fish oil make a good skunk bait?
Fish oil is used mostly as a scent, not as a bait. It will attract skunks, but is not as good as the skunks own perfume. Bait is eaten by the animal and may be fish, rabbit, squirrel, fowl, fruits, insects, etc. Scent attracts the animal. At the mating season certain sexual fluids and organs are quite attractive; at other seasons scent of various kinds appealing to the appetite and peculiarities of the various animals have “drawing power”.
