FEEL. To feel a horse in the hand, is to observe that the will of the horse is in the hand, that he tastes the bridle, and has a good appui in obeying the bit. To feel a horse upon the haunches, is to observe that he plies or bends them, which is contrary to leaning or throwing upon the shoulders.
