Tape Worm-Areca-Can you inform me how much powdered areca nut would be a dose for a dog that is troubled with worms? Is one teaspoonful enough or too much?
Much depends on the size of the dog and also the size of teaspoon. Ten to twenty grains is the proper dose for an ordinary sized dog. However, areca nut is a very powerful drug and should be administered only by one versed on the matter; it is very hard for a dog to retain upon the stomach and usually vomits the full dose so that it has no effect. It is always safer to use a commercial remedy.
