Beagles Trained on Rabbit-I have two beagles that are well trained on rabbits, but last fall I had them out for skunks and they got well scented, after which they could not run a rabbit trail for about a month. Now I want to know whether it will be possible to train the same dogs to hunt rabbits y day and skunks at night. What breed would be best?

Yes, you can train your beagles to hunt skunks at night if you are anxious to spoil them. Take my advice and keep them after rabbits only. If you want a good skunk dog, get ¼ shepherds and ¾ Irish terrier or a full blood Airedale.
