Airedale Training for Large Game-At what age should I commence to train an Airedale for panthers? Should I let him run loose when in the woods? Should I train one dog to hunt both panthers and bears?

I think his training should be begun before he is a year old. I don’t think it will do any harm to let him run loose when you are out with him providing you can call him to you when you find a track, and once he gets started to hunting lions I don’t think he will bother smaller game much. A dog can be trained for both mountain lions and bears but a single dog should not be used for such hunting. A lone dog could do nothing with either.
