Still Trailing-I have a large, strong foxhound pup, 8 months old, that I have been training on red fox this season. She runs fast but will not open her mouth. Did anyone ever hear of a foxhound not learning to tongue? She will bark when tied or shut up. Will it do any harm to let her run rabbits? I want her for a fox dog and not a rabbit dog.

Your dog is a “still trailer” I do not know of any remedy. I do not think the dog should be allowed to run rabbits, but would prefer to have some experienced hound men answer that.
