Wheezing-I have a rabbit dog that seems to have something it its throat and wheezes and coughs nearly all of the time. Do you think it is a bone caught in the throat or is it some disease? He eats very little and has been this way for three or four months.
The dog may, as you suggest, have a piece of bone lodged in its throat, but I am inclined to think that it is some disease, such as asthma, bronchitis, or some lung trouble. It seems to me that if it was caused by some foreign body in the throat, it could not have remained there so long. You could probably learn by feeling the throat carefully, and if you can locate the object it should be removed in some way, though I am not sure how it could be done.
