Deer – Age of – Can you tell me how to tell the age of a buck deer?
There is no way that I know of to learn the age of a wild deer. Some people claim that the age may be known by the number of points on the antlers, but that is incorrect. The young buck grow a set of spikes the second year, and as a rule the older he gets the more points there will be, but the claim that each point represents a year of the animals age is wrong.
