| | Damascus Barrels once very common are formed by twisting and then hammering strips of dissimilar metals together to form one welded piece. True Damascus Barrels are found exclusively on shotguns and are not rated for the power of today’s smokeless shotgun rounds. If you have a Damascus Barrel, please have a competent gunsmith inspect the barrel and action and then only with his/her input fire low power loads through it, although it is much safer to call it a wall hanger over the mantel.
