Coons-Size Pen for Eight-What kind of a pen should be made to raise eight coons in? What should I feed them and how long does a coon live? Will they dig out?
Enclosures for all kinds of furbearing animals are described in our book, “Fur Farming” and all that is known regarding their rearing in captivity is given. A pen for that number of animals need not be large, say three rods on each side, the fence made of woven wire netting, seven feet high and with a wide board projecting in from the top to prevent them from climbing out. They will not dig to escape and the wire need not be placed more than twelve or fifteen inches under ground.
