LEADED RIFLE (HOW CLEANED)—How can I clean a .22 rifle that is leaded?
The easiest way is to keep it clean, but in case it gets loaded, good strong vinegar is about the best remedy, simply plug up the breech and pour your vinegar in the muzzle and it will boil up like froth on beer. This is a quick and effective way and will sometimes loosen stuck bullets. The gun should be thoroughly cleaned and oiled immediately afterwards as vinegar is nearly as good a rust producer as salt, but if the rifle is normally cleaned and dried and oiled, it is perfectly safe.
