CANADIAN DUTY—Is there any duty on second hand traps taken into Canada and is there a duty on raw furs brought or shipped from Canada into the United States?
There really should be no duty on second hand traps, but the customs officials invariably try to collect duty and you will do well if you can bluff them out by taking them with you among your baggage, you may get them through all right, but if you ship them it is certain that you must pay about one-third their value in duty. There is no duty on raw furs.
