Bullets-Accuracy of .32 Special | |
|
Bullets-Accuracy of .32 Special-I have a Winchester .32 Special rifle and find that UMC cartridge has a bullet 5 grains lighter than that of the Winchester cartridge. Does this lighter bullet give equal accuracy? What cartridge delivers the hardest and most shocking blow and what is the accurate range of the .32 Special?
I do not think that there is any difference in the accuracy of these two bullets. Beyond a doubt the heavier one will deliver the heaviest blow, and this theory is borne out by the statements of the Winchester and Marlin companies. The Winchester people give the penetration of the .32 Special, full metal patched bullets, as forty-five boards, while the Marlin Company only claim thirty-seven boards for their rifle, using 165 grain bullet, full metal patched. Under favorable conditions the .32 special will do accurate work at 1,000 yards.
