| | Bullet drop is caused by the effect of gravity on the bullet itself, all bullets drop at the same relative rate. The moment a bullet leaves the muzzle of the firearm it begins to be affected by 2 forces, gravity and air resistance, gravity pulls the bullet down while air resistance slows the bullets velocity. The reason some rounds appear to “shoot flatter” is due to the fact that the faster a bullet is moving, the less time it takes to reach the target and as a result the less time gravity has to pull the bullet down.
