BRASS LINED—Does brass lining increase shooting quality and extra-long barrels, and how would you load your shells? Does any gun company make gun special for this purpose?

This question is a Chinese puzzle; brass lining for shells or barrels? The extra-long barrels have some slight advantages and I should load my shells after I had tried various loads to see which loads made the best pattern from my gun. All gun companies make their guns with a view to scattering shot evenly over a thirty-inch circle at 30 yards, or at longer ranges. I doubt if a 2-inch square block is a fair test for guns. Draw a 30-inch circle on a sheet of paper, and aim at a black spot in the center. Then look at the pattern, and see how many places a 2-inch block would not be touched, and in how many five or six would get into it.
