BOILING IN WALNUT—I would be glad if you or any of the readers could tell me how to boil traps in walnut husks? Will the hot water hurt the traps in any way? Do you use green or dry, and what good does it?
Just pile in the husks, pour water over them, stir in the traps and bring to a boil in a kettle. Hot water will not hurt the traps, but fire would draw the temper—water does not get hot enough to hurt. Either green or dry husks will serve.
