BLOOD-RUNNING-ITCH (in Farriery). A disease in horses, proceeding from an inflammation of the blood, by over-heating, hard riding, or too severe labour, which, insinuating itself between the skin and the flesh, makes the animal rub and bite himseif, and if not cured, often turns into an infectious mange.
