22’s What is the Best way to Carry Small Cartridges-Which is the best .22 caliber cartridge, the short, long or long rifle? What is the most convenient way to carry small cartridges?

There is no “best” .22 caliber cartridge as each is good for the purpose intended. For hunting small game at short ranges, I prefer the .22 short smokeless cartridge with greaseless bullet. If you want to do accurate shooting at 100 yards, use the long rifle cartridge. The most convenient method of carrying cartridges that I have found is to drop a handful loose in the pocket. Those having greaseless bullets are all right this way, but the old style will collect dirt on the bullets.
