For bait you may use angleworms, soft shelled crawfish, or the tail of a shelled one, a piece of liver, a mussel, or what is probably better than anything else, a strip of fresh beef. In quiet, mud bottomed water, where weeds and lilies grow, is the best for bullheads. You can catch them at any time of day, but evening or after dark is best. It is always good after a thunder shower.
