The Auto-Loading Shotgun
The action of the auto-loading shotgun is just about the same as that of the rifle except that a tubular magazine is used for the shells instead of the box magazine used for cartridges.
The shotgun is made to eject the cartridges through the side instead of through the top, but aside from these small matters of detail in the construction, the rifle and the shotgun work in the same manner.
