Auxiliary Rifle Barrels-Why is the auxiliary rifle barrel not used more?
I do not know of any auxiliary rifle barrel now on the market. Such a barrel was one time made by Remington Arms, but was discontinued, I believe, long ago. It is only in certain parts of the country that a combination gun is useful, and the auxiliary increased in weight of the gun, also made it necessary to put sights on the shotgun. Such a barrel can be made by any gunsmith, from a carbine or rifle barrel of the caliber desired, by turning it down to fit the shotgun barrel, and fitting an extractor. The barrel can be bought from any of the rifle manufacturers.
