ARROW HEADS—HOW MADE—Please tell, if you can, how the Indians arrow heads were made.
As I remember, Washington tribes scaled their arrow heads by heat, but I am not certain. Some tribes chipped their arrows by slow, hard pressure of a point against the flint. I have seen some beautiful obsidian (volcanic glass) arrows from Idaho, which seem to have been chipped with heat and a wet point of some kind.
