Action bars are found in both slide/pump action and semi-automatic/automatic firearms. The action bar attaches the forearm or gas cylinder to the breechblock of the firearm. Depending on the design and manufacturer of the firearm, there may be either one or two action bars, with 2 being the most reliable.
