The two cartridges have practically the same power. The Winchester .32 Special cartridge has a 170 grain bullet while that made by the U. M. C. Co. has a bullet of 165 grains and as a consequence the Winchester cartridge gives greater muzzle energy than the U. M. C. and a trifle more than the .303 Savage. On the whole the difference of the two cartridges are in the favor of the .32 Special, and its greater diameter of bullet and flat point make it the best cartridge for big game.
