.38-40 MARLIN—Is a .38-40 Marlin rifle, Model ‘94, a good rifle for deer, bear and foxes, if it is fitted with a Lyman rear and front sight?
I know of hundreds of deer being killed with this type of rifle, and also foxes and bears. Of late, the tendency has been toward high-power firearms, as the .30-30, 25-35 and so on for these animals.
