.33 WINCHESTER—Can you give me some information in regards the .33 Winchester with ivory sights?
I have used a .33 with ivory sights for the past four years for big game hunting, especially deer, and must say that it is the best rifle I have ever used. My rifle is a five-shot, half magazine, which I prefer to a full magazine for the reason that it balances better and is much easier to carry. The .33 has a muzzle velocity of 2,060 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 1,889 feet pounds, which combine to give it all the power necessary for long range and the biggest of game. I have shot a number of deer and have used the following rifles: .30-55 Winchester, .31 Winchester, self-loading, and .35 Remington Auto- loading, but prefer the .33 to any one of them. In the upper peninsula of Michigan the .33 Winchester is fast becoming the popular rifle for deer hunting, more and
more can be seen each season and one must search a long time before he can find a dissatisfied owner.
