.32 SPECIAL vs. .32-40—I would like to see more discussion on the .32 special versus the32-40, as I want to buy a rifle and am undecided which. What is your opinion of the .401 Winchester? Does the short barrel affect the accuracy?

I think the .401 Winchester is a fine gun, and the short barrel will not affect its accuracy. The old time idea that a rifle barrel must be long in order to get accuracy does not go at this late date, and even the United States government has discarded the long barrel.
