.32 MARLIN vs. .303—Will the .32 Special Marlin rifle shoot farther than the .303 Savage?

The difference in the cartridges used by these two rifles is so little that it is not worth considering, I think that the .303 hits a little harder, and because of its heavier bullet will probably be better at long range, but the .32 Special is slightly larger in caliber and the bullet has a higher velocity. Both are good for hunting deer, bears,. etc. If it comes to a choice between these two, for a hunting rifle, forget that there is a difference in the cartridges, and choose the gun that you like best. As you are no doubt aware there is quite a difference in the mechanical construction, the appearance and the operation of the Marlin and Savage rifles.
