.28 and 7mm-Can you tell me whether I can shoot the Stevens .28-30-120 cartridge in a 7mm Mauser rifle if I have an adapter made to take this cartridge?

The .28 caliber is 28/100 of an inch in diameter. The 7mm is .2758 inch in diameter, which is more than two-hundredths of an inch smaller. It might work all right, however as the .32 caliber revolver cartridges are shot in .30-30 rifles by means of an adapter. I am inclined to think it would work.
